Silat rules

Before Pencak Silat was included in the South East Asian Games, the World Pencak Silat Championship was the main event which the athletes always looked forward to. The first event was held in 1982, hosted by one of the Founding Member for International Pencak Silat Federation, Indonesia.

Singapore first hosted the World Championship back in 1988 and 2004, and after almost 15 years, Singapore once again plays host to this prestigious event.

From 13 to 16 December, athletes from over 50 countries will compete at the OCBC Arena Hall 1, Singapore Sports Hub.
