Share The Road Criterium Series

Cecil St / McCallum St

The Share the Road Criterium Series is an initiative spearheaded by the Singapore Cycling Federation and local cycling events company, Cycosports. The aim of the series is to highlight the excitement and energy of inner city racing through criterium events which are held on closed circuits and characterised as short, adrenalin-infused races that provide an exciting spectator element. The idea is to showcase various categories of races each month with January reserved for Junior riders, Open Ladies and Open Men. The two races will be 40 minutes in duration and will cover approximately 15 laps. Final laps will be determined by the speed of the race with the last lap signalled with a bell.

The second aim of the series is to showcase the competitive cycling community and to provide an open environment to learn more about competitive cycling. In 2017 the cycling community is initiating a "Share the Road" campaign that not only aims to bring awareness to cyclists on the roads, but also educate cyclists and the public so that there is a greater understanding of cycling and safety on the roads.
