Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2015

Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2015

The Yellow Ribbon Prison Run is coming up on Sunday, 13 September 2015. The annual run is an opportunity to show your support for ex-offenders as they fight against stigmatisation. Weave through historical sites in such as the Johore Battery, Changi Chapel Museum and the Old Changi Prison Wall. Proceeds raised from the run will go to Yellow Ribbon Fund, which supports rehabilitation and reintegration programmes of ex-offenders, their families and their children.

This year, the 6km fun run will be transformed into a magical – Happily Ever After Running Trail or “HEART Trail”. Catch magical fairy tale characters, such as the ugly duckling and the frog prince, at various milestones of the route. Through this family-friendly interactive trail, families and children can learn more about acceptance and second chances.

The run ends with a carnival held within the Changi Prison Complex which is open to public. Join us for fun and entertainment, including performances by inmates in collaboration with The Philharmonic Winds, roaming magicians, photo and game booths, and much more! Have a first-hand experience of the rehabilitation process by going through the mock up cells and workshops at the Rehabilitation Exhibition.
