It is an invitational youth competition whereby Singaporean players play against one another in 4 tournament categories, under 9, under 12, under 15 and under 18.

These youth players have achieved the highest ranking points through STTA local tournaments throughout the year before advancing to Char Yong (Dabu) Table Tennis Tournament.
