My love for chess started when I lost my ability to play squash and to bowl. I love its intellectually stimulating quality. Not many people know this but I was once so fit that I managed to defeat a national squash player in a competition, but now, my disability brings me so much pain that the daily travel to training sessions is tough. That being said, I train hard because I still aspire to win medals and bring glory to Singapore in whatever way I can.
