Laksa Goreng (Serve 2)

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 minutes


150 g brown rice noodles
½ tablespoon canola oil
½ large onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon chilli paste
1 tablespoon water
15 g dried prawns, finely grounded
40 g laksa paste
2 tablespoon light coconut milk
150 g chicken fillet, sliced
150 g taukwa
70 g beansprout
1 hardboiled egg, sliced
½ teaspoon brown sugar
Pepper to taste
1 sprig laksa leave, chopped

1. Air-fry taukwa for 180°C for 10 minutes. Cut into small cubes and set aside.
2. Scald laksa noodles and bean sprout in hot water and drained.
3. Heat oil in frying pan. Fry onions and garlic until fragrant.
4. Add dried prawns and fry till fragrant.
5. Add chicken slices, laksa paste, coconut milk, water and fry for 3 – 4 minutes.
6. Add in taukwa, laksa noodles, bean sprout, brown sugar, pepper and stir until thoroughly mixed.
7. Stir in laksa leave.
8. Serve hot and garnish with hard-boiled egg.


Salmon and tofu kimchi soup (Serve 2)

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Cooking Time: 15 minutes


50 g anchovies (stock)
1 litre water (stock)
½ tablespoon canola oil
½ large white onion, sliced
120 g kimchi
200 g salmon, cubed
1 tsp hot pepper flakes (mix into paste)
1 tablespoon light soya sauce  (mix into paste)
1 teaspoon sesame oil  (mix into paste)
1 ½ tablespoon gochujang  (mix into paste)
50 g sliced rice cake, soak in cold water
200 g silken tofu
½ teaspoon sugar
Pinch of white pepper
2 stalk spring onions, chopped

1. Add anchovies and boiling water into a pot. Simmer for 30 minutes to prepare stock.
2. Heat up oil in a saucepan. Add onions and fry till fragrant.
3. Add kimchi, kimchi juice and stock into the pot.
4. Add salmon, paste mixture, rice cakes, sugar and cook for 3 minutes.
5. Add in tofu and cook further for 2 minutes. Add pepper to taste.
6. Garnish with chopped spring onion.


Matcha Green Tea Latte (Serves 1)

Preparation Time: 5 minutes


1 teaspoon matcha powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon warm water
300 mL low-fat milk

1. In a mug, add matcha powder, sugar and warm water into a smooth paste.
2. Warm up milk and mix well.
