Tampines Rovers continued their good start to the season by beating Tanjong Pagar and sitting pretty at the top of the SPL table. Elsewhere, Geylang kept pace with the leaders by overcoming Hougang while the Young Lions lost to 10-men Balestier Khalsa to remain rooted to the bottom of the league table.

Editor's thoughts: The SPL games may be played behind closed doors for now due to the Covid-19 situation but there was no lack of desire from the players and teams involved as they gave everything they got in their locker to try to get off to a good start to the new season. Things may still be in its infancy but Tampines Rovers and Geylang International are setting the pace.
