Keeping active and exercising is key to living a healthy and happy life. If your ageing parents are currently in less than great shape, it’s never too late to turn things around.

Here are some of the ways to get them started:

1. Show them you care

Encouragement is crucial in all stage of life. Start by sharing with them the benefits of fitness and assure them that they aren’t alone in the unfamiliar territory.

2. Give them a hand

Help them enjoy their golden years by sharing what you’ve learned in your own journey toward better fitness and health. Better yet, help them get started by exercising together.

3. Motivation goes a long way

Help them set goals and find the motivation and tools to kick start their fitness journey.

4. Be supportive and celebrate their successes - big or small!

Encouragement can help them succeed. No matter the goals, spending time together as a family can be both fun and rewarding. Remember, little things go a long way.
