Apparently, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has already undergone his medical and is now holding up at the Lowry Hotel while waiting for the official announcement of his arrival at Old Trafford.

The defender from Crystal Palace will become the second signing after Daniel James and looks set to become the first choice right back. The right back position has become a bit of a problem after Antonio Valencia left the club, with the ageing Ashley Young struggling to perform on a consistent basis. Diogo Dalot will be keen to fight for the starting berth but he will be up for it against the youngster from Palace. Wan-Bissaka flew in to Manchester in a private jet after completing his Englad U21s duty where he was supposedly distracted by United’s interest in him. It was a tournament to forget and he now turns his attention to getting fit and ready to go for the new Premier League season. Wan-Bissaka burst onto the scene last season and made the right back position at Crystal Palace his own. The move will set Manchester United back by about £50million and he will be getting £80,000 a week. This deal makes him United's fifth-most expensive signing, with only Pogba, Lukaku, Di Maria and Fred costing the club more money. Expectations will be fairly high as United fans expect the new boys to hit the ground running and made a significant difference to the squad. It remains to be seen whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will throw the new boys into the deep end or ease them into the starting eleven. Personally, I think that United is doing the right thing in bringing talented youngsters into the club rather than splashing the cash on over-rated superstars. The only thing is whether the fans are patient enough to stick with the club while they go through this painful process, which can take a few seasons before United are challenging for top honours again.
