It was a subdued day in the pool on Saturday for Team Singapore as Paralympians Yip Pin Xiu and Theresa Goh failed to improve on their personal timings at the OCBC Aquatics Centre during second day of the Singapore leg of the World Para Swimming World Series.

Team Singapore’s Toh Wei Soong also swam his heart out in the Men’s 400m freestyle final to record a personal best time of 05:01:97. Unfortunately his time was only good enough for fourth place with a points score of 879.

Although the senior para swimmers did not have the best of days, their younger compatriots again showed their promise by improving on personal timing with Chew Zi Ling, Nicole Fu, Danielle Moi and Wong Zhi Wei setting new PBs in their various events.

With the new generation doing well you can expect them to raise their performances on the last day of the competition.
