The Singapore Lions battled hard and went into half time with the score at 1-1 but Uzbekistan's class shone through in the second half to win them the match.

Odil Ahmedov had put the visitors ahead in the 15th minute with a well taken free time before Ikhsan Fandi thumped home a header just before half time to give the home crowd something to cheer about and made coach Tatsuma's half time team talk a lot easier.

In the second half though, Uzbekistan turned on the style with Eldor Shomurodov nodding home after a well-worked move down the left saw the perfect cross coming in from Farrukh Sayfiev.

The Lions tried to search for a second equaliser in vain as Shomurodov beat the offside trap deep into injury time to slot home a third goal for the visitors. The match ended Singapore 1 Uzbekistan 3. Singapore now lie in fourth place in their Group after 1 win, 1 draw and 2 defeats.
