Up all night for good fun at the FAS Midnight Football Challenge

While most of us were tucking ourselves into bed on the night of 21 July, players at Our Tampines Hub futsal courts were just warming up. As part of the Singapore Football Festival, these players from all walks of life were about to take part in the Midnight Football Challenge held by the Football Association of Singapore (FAS).

 

Between 9pm to 4am, 16 Women’s teams and 20 Men’s teams went toe to toe in the five-a-side tournaments. It was an exciting night as there were both stars above the clouds and on the courts as the finals were eventually settled by penalty shots in both Men’s and Women’s categories. The results are as follows:

 

Women’s

Champions: Tampines Changkat CSC
First runners-up: Team Timun
Second runners-up: Chili Kani

 

Men’s
Champions: SGFUTSAL 16
First runners-up: Team Happy Family
Second runners-up: Knockout
