Back on dry land, the Battle Bay Extreme arena was teaming with young hopefuls and seasoned veterans as they unleashed their inner warriors through a series of obstacle courses. With over 3 difficulty levels, participants were free to challenge themselves wherever they seemed fit.
There were also plenty of fringe activities for those seeking some downtime at the Creators Market, Artbox, and the Play Dome. Members of public could treat themselves to yoga, food stalls, and even some craft workshops.
While it did rain heavily halfway through both days, the overall mood was not dampened. The skies eventually cleared, the drums continued and the paddlers paddled on.
The races and festivities continue this weekend on 2 and 3 June 2018 at the Promontory at Marina Bay.
