Angela Lee reigns supreme at ONE FC Unstoppable Dreams

Two years ago, Angela Lee and Mei Yamaguchi traded blows at ONE Championship's first women's title. Lee was crowned the first Women's Atomweight World Champion. Despite a car crash in 2017, Lee bounced back and successfully defended her title in ONE Championship's Unstoppable Dreams last Friday on 18 May.

It was an explosive match as Lee showcased her striking abilities and even two near submissions in the second and third round against veteran fighter Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi fought back fiercely in the last two rounds but the unanimous decision went to Lee.

Lee's younger brother, Christian Lee, also fought that night for the Featherweight World title against Martin Nguyen. The latter defended his title as champion against the younger Lee by split decision.

The inaugural ONE Super Series Muay Thai Flyweight World Championship title match was also held that night between Sam-A Gaiyanghadao and Sergio Wieltzen. Gaiyanghadao emerged as the first ever title holder of that category against Wielzen by knock out.
