After losing to Kaohsiung Truth by just four points in the previous match, the Singapore Slingers took sweet revenge by claiming an important victory against the visitors at OCBC Arena on Sunday.

While the home side overcame the Taiwanese team 84-76, victory did not come easy.
The Truth fought on till the very end as they came within three points of the Slingers with only two minutes left on the clock.
Despite bouncing back after two painful defeats, Slingers coach Neo Beng Siang wasn’t satisfied with his team's performance.
"We got ourselves good energy coming out in the first half, so we got ourselves building pressure in the first half, but we didn't really get ourselves into it," he said.
"Especially into the second half... we were sloppy again and end up letting them get a chance to come back and we struggled big time there.”
In the dying minutes, the Truth sought to extend the play time by fouling the Slingers. But unfortunately for them, they fouled the wrong player in Ng Han Bin, whose expertise lie in free throws and three-pointers.
"Towards the end, we controlled all the free throws which is good," said Neo, crediting the win to the conversion of free throws in the last minute.
One of the stars of Sunday's match was last season's Most Valuable Player in the local category, Wong Wei Long, who scored a match high of 23 points.
He said that pre-match preparation was key to their win today.

"We did a lot of changes prior to this game, especially [due to] the loss against them at Kaohsiung. We did a lot of penetration and kick, that was what the coaches wanted us to do," said Wong.
"What I did was just trying to drive in and look for our shooters because I've seen their work during practice... [I knew we needed] to make a lot of shots.”
Wong, who also made three triples, was happy with his performance today, but felt that there was still more he could contribute to his team in terms of assists.
"I'm pretty satisfied. I still want more. I'm hungry for more. I just want to do more on the assist part rather than scoring because I have faith and trust in all my teammates that can sink in the shots for me."
