The Sacramento Kings, widely considered to be one of the most tech-savvy teams in the league, became the first NBA team to broadcast using Facebook’s Live 360 video feature.
, which received 74,000 views after it went live Thursday, shows Kings dancers practicing. The Kings partnered with 360fly – the maker of a single-lens camera that captures 360-degree 4K video – to broadcast.
Live 360, was introduced in December
, “immerses viewers fully into a scene, letting them explore on their own and experience a new environment,” according to Facebook. When users click on the Kings’ video, they can use their mouse to move the camera angles in a 360-degree motion so they can see the whole gym.
