is heavily invested in wearable technology and fitness trackers, competing with the likes of Fitbit and Garmin.
Following Apple’s announcement last week
of its Apple Watch Series 2 and Apple Watch Nike+, that may stretch to the tech giant as well.
“It’s interesting to see Apple thinks the same thing as us,” TomTom co-founder Corinne Vigreux told Wareable.com
on Friday. “In the keynote Apple made a big thing about how you can run without your phone, I think a lot of it is similar to our first product. So there was a bit of flattery there.
“We’re thinking in the same way as far as this market is concerned. They are also a lot more expensive, so that reassures me as well.”
