After June’s F1 Fit for Racing Challenge where John Yeong, editor of myActiveSG.com, pulled out due to a knee injury, the rivalry between him and colleague Gary Yang has remained strong. They are work bros, but they always love to compete.
To settle things once and for all between the pair, Gary and John were each tasked to pick a team of two more members and face off at an obstacle course challenge at Bounce Singapore in the first episode of myActiveSG Reality Series Game Show (Festive Edition).

The challenge, which was done in a relay format, saw Team John - strengthened by the presence of Team Singapore hockey player Laura Tan and Team Nila volunteer Randall Wu, compete against Team Gary, which featured Team Singapore hurdler Kerstin Ong and Sport Singapore gym buff Low Sin Ting.
Bounce Singapore’s X-Park Adventure Challenge Course is Asia’s first and only indoor adventure challenge course combining elements of climbing, jumping and free-running, and it is safe to say it is no walk in the park as it incorporates 15 different elements and demands total body strength, agility and coordination.

While Team John came in with a high respectable time of 2:02 (with Bounce Singapore Ninja Master Justin only managing to clear in the course in 1:40), Team Gary ultimately edged out Team John with a time of 1:50.
Team John paid the price for losing by being a target of dodgeball practice before their captain was made to jump off a 4m high platform as a leap of faith, but John hasn’t given up yet.

Team Gary might have won this time, but the competition is far from over with the next challenge coming up during the Chinese New Year period in a cook-off competition.
Who will win the next time? Stay tuned to myActiveSG.com to find out.
