Sports centres in Jurong East, Seng Kang, Toa Payoh, Pasir Ris and Yio Chu Kang have been designated as “celebration zones” and will be organising tryouts for wide range of games and sports. Besides being able to try out a new sport, residents will also get free admissions to ActiveSG gyms and swimming pools across Singapore over the holiday weekend.

Jurong resident Iris Ng said that she was at the Jurong Sports Centre to try out Zumba and Piloxing. “We can come to try out different types of exercise and I think it’s a very good initiative and (creates) awareness as well” she said.
