Team Singapore’s Tao Li qualified for the final of the women’s 100m Butterfly after posting a time of 1:01.71 in Tuesday morning’s heats at the Munhak Park Tae-hwan Aquatics Center.
Tao, who finished seventh in qualifying, is looking to add to the Silver medal she won on Monday night in the 50m Butterfly but China’s Chen Xinyi was the fastest qualifier with a time of 58:56.
Tao’s teammate Nur Marina Chan’s time of 1:02.86 did not get her into the finals and had to settle for tenth spot. In the women’s 400m individual medley heats, Tan Jing E also finished in tenth place with a time of 5:05.62 and did not manage to secure a place in the finals.

Fans will also be able to see Danny Yeo in action in the men’s 400m freestyle final, after he finished seventh with a qualifying time of 3:57.42. Teo Zhen Ren missed out after coming in 14th out of 23 swimmers.
Christopher Cheong Ee Hong was unable to progress in the men’s 200m breaststroke after putting up a time of 2:20.81. In the Men's 50m Freestyle heats, Darren Lim finished 16th out of 42 swimmers with a timing of 23.67 and did not qualify for the finals.
Over at the Ongnyeon International Shooting Range, Team Singapore's 10m air rifle team comprising Keith Chan, Ong Jun Hong and Sean Tay scored a total of 1838.6 points to finish 11th out of a field of 15.
Hong was the best performer among the Singaporeans, scoring 617.0 in the individual event. Tay scored 615.1 to finished 28th while Chan was ranked 46th with a score of 606.5.
