The Singapore Olympic Foundation invites aspiring athletes to apply for the Singapore Olympic Foundation-Peter Lim Scholarship from 4 to 29 January 2016 via the Singapore Olympic Foundation website, The Scholarship was started in 2010 when businessman and philanthropist Mr Peter Lim donated $10 million to the Singapore Olympic Foundation (SOF) to set up a scholarship.

The Scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to young athletes from financially-challenged backgrounds to help facilitate their pursuits in sports excellence. The Scholarship also supports deserving under-18 high performance athletes who are on a high performance pathway and are training with the national youth or senior teams. So far, the Scholarship has awarded over $3.8 million dollars to close to 1,500 young aspiring athletes in Singapore.
