Waterski

Team Singapore’s ace waterski team bagged two golds and a bronze at Bedok Reservoir.
Sasha Christian made it two golds from two events at the Games when she won the Women’s Slalom. This was the first ever gold medal for Team Singapore in Women’s Slalom. The 22-year-old also won the wakeboard and could end up with a stack more in the last three days of competition, To add to Team Singapore’s success, her 19-year-old team mate Kalya Marisa Kee finished with a bronze.

Mark Leong, 17, won the men’s slalom and set a new Games record in the process.

Sailing

Team Singapore’s dominance on water continued to bear fruit with another three medals, including two gold medals at the National Sailing Centre.

Jodie Lai, who created history last year when she became Singapore’s youngest Asian Games gold medallist at age 13, did it again when she won the Under 16 Women’s Single Handed Optimist...

Darren Choy and Jeremiah Yeo teamed up to win the Men’s Double Handed 470 Class.. The pair finished with 18 points, six clear of their nearest rivals. Daniel Ian Toh, aged just 13, also collected a bronze medal in the Under 16 Men’s Single Handed Optimist. Savannah Siew and her new partner Amanda Ng were 3rd out of three in the Women’s Double Handed 470, but were not awarded the bronze medal as only gold and silver were presented due to there being only three countries competing.

Sepak Takraw

Team Singapore’s men’s Regu Team won the silver medal after an excellent 2-0 victory over Philippines assured that they finished second in their group and achieved their best result in over two decades. Team captain Mohamad Farhan Amran, Muhammad Hafiz Jaafar and Muhammad Yassin Suhaimi romped to a straight-sets win over the Philippines. 

Taekwondo

Team Singapore captured three SEA Games bronze medals in an exciting day of Taekwondo action at the Singapore Expo Hall 2.

Singapore's Jason Tan was defeated 13-20 by Agojo Francis Aaron in the men's Under-58kg semi-finals. A injury inflicted on Tan's leg mid-battle hindered his ability to execute perfect kicks but he took consolation with a joint bronze medal. 

Nur Fadzlyn Binte Mohd Zahurddin earned Singapore's second bronze in the women's U-49kg category, alongside the Philippines' Ilao Levita Ronna. 

She lost 0-13 in her semi-final clash with Timor Leste's Luisa Dos Santos Rosa.

Vincent Lim capped the day for Team Singapore by clinching their third bronze medal in the men's U-63kg category. The bronze was shared with Laos' Thammavong Phouthasone.

Archery

Team Singapore archers won their first-ever men's Team Recurve medal with the trio of Tan Si Lie, Keith Teo and Zhang Jingkang beating Myanmar's Aung Nay Myo, Thu Aung Myo and Thu Nyein Si 5-1 to clinch the historic bronze.

Tan then clinched a second bronze in the men's Individual Recurve event, defeating Thai Natthapoom Phusawat 6-0.

Silat

Nur Shariqa Sheik Alau’ddin won a joint bronze medal in the Women’s Tanding Class B (50-55kg) event. Nurul Suhaila Mohamed Saiful won a joint bronze medal in the Women’s Tanding Class D (60-65kg) and Sheik Ferdous Sheik Alau’ddin won a joint bronze medal in the Men’s Tanding Class E (65-70kg) event. Sheik Farhan Sheik Alau’ddin won a joint bronze medal in the Men’s Tanding Class E (85-90kg) event.
