Team Singapore paddlers remained on course for a rare sweep of the gold medals in table tennis after picking up a third title at the SEA Games on Tuesday.
The host-nation's star-studded paddlers won the men's and women's doubles on Tuesday then followed up by clinching the mixed doubles on Wednesday - making it three golds from three events at Singapore's Indoor Stadium.
Yu Mengyu and Yang Zi teamed up to win the mixed doubles gold after beating Sawettabut Suthasini and Tanviriyavechakul Padasak of Thailand 11-7 11-5 11-9 11-6 in the finals.
For Yu, it was her second medal of the Games but her first gold after she won silver in the women's doubles, against another Singaporean pair.
Yu and Yang defeated Dinh Quang Linh and Mai Hoang My Trang of Vietnam 11-6 7-11 11-4 11-7 11-5 in the semi-finals.
Li Hu and Zhou Yihan, the top seeds, looked certain to also make the final and set up another all-Singaporean gold medal match but lost the last three games to their Thai opponents after opening up a 3-1 lead to lose 4-1.
Singapore now has the chance to win all seven gold medals in table tennis with the men's and women's singles and the two teams events still to come.
