Team Singapore’s Netball team has seen great success this year, clinching Singapore’s very first ever Netball gold at the SEA Games in June. The girls are always on the lookout for their next big challenge to keep on honing their skills and competition tactics.

The Mission Foods Nations Cup, returning to Singapore from the 13th to 19th of December this year, is the next target for Singapore’s National squad who will be facing off against strong international teams including Botswana, Chinese Taipei, Namibia, Northern Ireland and Papua New Guinea.

The Nations Cup is the flagship Netball event in Singapore every year and the upcoming edition will mark the 10th anniversary.

Speaking ahead of the 2015 edition of the Nations Cup, Captain of the National squad, Micky Lin, emphasized the significance of the event as well as underlined the hosts’ ambitions to do well in the event.  “The Nations Cup is a key highlight in the annual calendar.  It presents the team and the public with the opportunity to be a part of the highest level of Netball with some of the best teams in the world taking part,” she said.

Last year’s Nations Cup saw the Singapore girls clinch second place after a fierce match against Samoa in the finals with a final score of 53-47 to Samoa.

All eyes will be on Singapore team this year to take home the cup but we are all in for some exhilarating matches and any team can walk away victorious once the dust settles.

Come and support our team.  You will have the chance to meet Team Singapore in person during special appearances at the Fan Zone throughout the week.
