“We are really proud of ourselves and our fellow teammates to have clinched the Under Armour Singapore Ultimate Open 2014 championship title. This is definitely not sheer luck. The caliber of the participating teams keeps rising each year and we really had to train hard to keep ourselves on a level playing field with the rest. It feels good to finally be acknowledged and rewarded after all that dedication and hard work. We are completely ecstatic right now!” says Demetrius Tan, captain of the Shiok! Singapore team.

“The results for UASUO 2014 have been truly satisfying. We have seen such an exemplary showcase of true athleticism, good sportsmanship and fantastic spectatorship. The success of the event really sets the tone and direction for Under Armour’s commitment and dedication to support and empower both the local and regional sporting community.

UASUO 2014 was a great stepping-stone for us and we will continue our support of Ultimate in the with the Ultimate Players Association (Singapore) and sponsorships of local Ultimate athletes such as the Shiok! Singapore team,” says Michael Binger, Chief Executive Office of Triple Private Limited, the exclusive distributor of Under Armour in Southeast Asia.

The Open also saw a celebrity match between champions, Shiok! Singapore and a team made out of Under Armour Athletes such as Allan Wu, True Fitness ambassadors Paul Foster, Jaymee Ong and UPA(S) members.

“We are grateful to Under Armour for their involvement in the Open; beyond, the set-up and organizing of the event, we are thankful for all the exposure they have given us and we hope that that will help give us the recognition and support that we have been fighting for from the National Sports Association,” says Enrique Lee, President of the Ultimate Players Association (Singapore).
