Shooter Teh Xiu Yi won Singapore its second medal of the 2nd Youth Olympic Games with the Silver medal finish in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed International Team event.
Teh worked well with Egypt’s Mohamed Ahmed to pave the team’s way into the finals, where they eventually lost out to the team comprising Bulgaria’s Lidia Nencheva and Uzbekistan's Svechnikov Vladimir with a score of 5-10.
There were high expectations for Martina Lindsay Veloso to follow up her act of claiming Singapore’s first medal from days earlier with another podium finish in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed International Team event.
But unfortunately the youngster and her teammate Australian Clopatofsky Sanchez was unable to overcome  Riccardi Agata Alina (San Marino) and Milovanovic Andrrija (Serbia) in the round of 16, and exited with a narrow score of 8-10.
In athletics, Denise Chia and Bryce Chong joined up with Feng Jingshuang (China) and Yamasaki Koyo (Japan) in the Triathlon's Four-Person Mixed Relay Finals and came in 13th place, with a time of 1 hour 30 minutes and 50 seconds.

Over swimming, Nur Marina Chan made another semi-final at the Games as she placed 10th out of 49 swimmers in the 50m Freestyle Heats with a time of  26.29 seconds. Even though the swimmer performed at her best, her time of 26.18 seconds did not allow her to qualify for the finals as she came in 13th best out of the remaining 16 competitors.
Marina did not manage to qualify for the 100m Butterfly Semi-Finals after coming in at 1 minute and 3.22 seconds.
Samantha Yeo and Dylan Koo failed to progressfrom their respective heats too as Yeo posted 2 minutes and 35.41 seconds for the 200m Breaststroke Heats while Koo finished in 19th with a time of 2 minutes and 6.04 seconds for the 200m Butterfly Heats.
Darren Lim missed the Men’s 100m Freestyle Heats after he reported sick, and subsequently saw the mixed relay team of Yeo, Koo and Marina miss out on the 4x100m Medley event.

In table tennis, the mixed doubles team of Yin Jing Yuan and Yee Herng Hwee had to settle for a place in the consolation round of 16 after losing to Czech’s pairing of Stefcova Kristyna and Reitspies in the third of group stage.
From there Yin and Yee made light work of Kazakhstan's Ryabova Kukiya and Gerassimenko Kirill to advance to the consolation quarter-finals, but their journey ended there as they met with fierce resistance from India’s team before eventually bowing out against Mukherjee Sutirtha and Yadav Abhishek.
