Riding high from this morning’s win in the 3m Synchronised Diving, Team Singapore snagged yet another gold in the synchronised swimming (duet free). Stephanie Chen and Crystal Yap topped the list of eight pairs with a score of 74.3333, followed closely by Malaysia’s Katrina Ann and Tasha Jane, who scored 72.4667. Second runner-up was another Singaporean duo – Natalie Chen and Debbie Soh, with a score of 72.3333.

The chemistry between Stephanie and Crystal sealed the deal for the girls as they presented their excellent combination of strength and grace, and power-packed moves that wowed the crowd. Team Malaysia showed off their agility with a well-calibrated number that injected a sense of playfulness in the OCBC Aquatic Centre. Second runner-up Natalie Chen and Debbie Soh showed their mettle and gave an uplifting performance cleverly nuanced with graceful moves.

It was definitely a treat for the audience to see the different facets of beauty, grace and strength being showcased in one competition.
