3 cool places to catch the World Cup 2014

02 June, 2014   Gary Yeo

The World Cup is just round the corner and you don’t intend to subscribe to the package offered by the official broadcaster because you won’t be catching all the matches anyway (the timing of the matches played in Brazil is not the most work/ school-friendly, we agree!). So, what’s the contingency plan? Watch it at a fancy bar or pub with your mates of course! Here’s 3 cool venues that we have scouted for your consideration.

The Bank Bar + Bistro is a premium food and beverage lifestyle concept that is set in a spacious, lofty and chic ambience, serving up good quality international and western cuisine over lunch and dinner.

Address: One Shenton, #01-01, 1 Shenton Way, S(068803)

Boomarang

Business partners Mike Harrison and Dennis Hodges believed that Singapore needed a laid-back ambience where one could enjoy quality Australian produce at any time of the day. In October 2008, they joined forces to unveil Boomarang in Singapore. Should be an awesome place to support the Socceroos!

Address: 60 Robertson Quay, #01-15, The Quayside, S(238252)

Wala Wala Cafe Bar

Wala Wala Cafe Bar has been called the establishment, labelled iconoclastic but really, it is just the kind of watering hole everybody wants to have in their neighbourhood.

Address: 31 Lorong Mambong, Singapore 277689

So there you have it - three awesome venues where you can catch the World Cup action and chill out with your buddies! It's time to samba!
