On Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th of August 2013 a global phenomenon, that in a single year has become the largest event series in the world, will unleash its color madness. Proudly presented by CIMB Bank, Singapore will be the first city in South East Asia to experience The Color Run™ event. Celebrating healthiness, happiness, individuality and giving back to the community, up to 16,000 people of all ages and abilities will unite - becoming a moving canvas as they make their way along the course.

Starting at 5pm and without any timing devices it is not a typical running event: it gives beginners a chance to abandon social norms and get messy without the intimidation of a timed event that requires a lot of training.

Coloured Zones

Runners will arrive at the start line dressed in their white race t-shirt and headband fully prepared for a 5k run/party, the likes of which have never been experienced on Singapore’s shores.  The route consists of four, music-filled, colored zones that runners will pass through where they will be doused with red, yellow, blue and pink as they dance / jump / skip / hop through to the next zone.

Once runners reach the finish line they will receive a sachet of color which will be used in the color throwing festival – which will take place approximately every 15 minutes as new runners join the fun.  Runners will finish totally colorific and will have a rainbow of opportunities to create great pictures for lasting memories.

The Color is 100% safe and FDA approved - it is made out of cornstarch (which you would find in your baking cupboard) and the dye comes from plant extracts (that should put your mind at ease).

With the first event in Amsterdam having sold out in just 18 minutes, Singapore make sure you don't miss out on this exciting and out of the ordinary running event!
