From the 1st-7th December, Singapore will play host to a truly global Nations Cup as each continent will be represented for the first time in the competition’s eight year history.
Being staged at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall once again, teams from Papua New Guinea, Republic of Ireland, Sri Lanka and debutants Uganda and the United States of America will contest the six-day competition and battle it out to become Nations Cup Champions.
Hosts Singapore are aiming to get back amongst the top finishers this year after a fifth placing in 2012. They finished second to world number seven Fiji in 2011 and reclaimed the Asian Championship in Sri Lanka in 2012 and still hold the position of the highest ranking team in Asia once again (21st). The national team has been announced and the squad is busy training hard under the new guidance of National Coach and Technical Director for Netball Singapore, Ruth Aitken.
