Make a difference at the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2013, cheer on your runner and support them in fulfilling their mission (SSC images).

On Sunday, 1 December Singapore’s roads will see over 60,000 runners from all walks of life come together in the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore.

Even if you are not running on that day, come on down and cheer on your friends and family as they compete in the nation's marquee running event. Experience the action, drama and camaraderie and help the runners in the journey which they have set for themselves. Be a part of this spectacular event and get the word out to your friends and families to come down and support the runners. Make your presence known and be a champion who inspires the runners in fulfilling their mission.

3 Start Points

With three different start points (Orchard Road, the Esplanade and Sentosa) the participants will race past some of Singapore’s most iconic landmarks as they complete a run for which they have spent months training and preparing.

Each of them is running for a reason. Amongst the runners are many special stories. While this is the maiden race for many of our runners, for others it’s a challenge to outperform their personal best.  You will find runners who have braved illnesses and taken up the sport to raise funds for worthy causes. All of them need your support and encouragement.

Free Shuttle Buses

There will be free shuttle buses that will bring you to different points along the route, including special cheer stations located at East Coast Park (E1 and F3 car parks), Marina Barrage and the F1 Pit Building.  Special Cheer Kits will also be distributed to help you inspire the runners. The three different running routes will eventually converge; bringing all runners to the Padang where they will experience the monumental feeling of crossing the finish line.

Among the finishers will be a selection of the world’s best marathoners from long-distance running strongholds such as Kenya, Ethiopia, Ukraine and Belarus. Who knows, we may be witness to a new world record!

Together, let’s brave the pain and celebrate after as one. No matter if we’re running or supporting from the sidelines, we can all form the special marathon spirit.
