Preview: Corporate Community Games 2013

29 January, 2013   John Yeong

Launched in the year 2000 with a purpose of promoting harmonious relationships and community bonding within the corporate sector, the Corporate Community Games (CCG) is a mini-Olympic Games for the corporate sector in Singapore where companies send in teams to compete over a 3 week period.

Since then, CCG has attracted over 30,000 working adults and 300 corporations. Following a brief hiatus the CCG is back in 2013, promising to be bigger and better than before with 10 Sports and one Arts event. The list of sports include:  Badminton, Basketball, Dragon Boat, Futsal, Netball, Pool, Running Relay, Table Tennis, Tennis, and Tenpin Bowling.

Organised by the Ministry of Culture, ‘Beyond Competition’ is the message that the CCG advocates. While the Games are likely to witness some good competition, it also provides the platform for corporates to engage in healthy playing and bonding, while forming new friendships along the way.
