J.P.Morgan Corporate Challenge reaches decade

16 January, 2013   John Yeong

Come 18 April 2013 the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge (JPMCC) will celebrate its 10th year in Singapore. The JPMCC is Singapore’s most popular corporate social/sporting event, with the 2012 edition of the 5.6-kilometre team road race featuring some 14,555 runners and walkers from 377 companies at the starting line.

Unlike other similar road races held here, the JPMCC does not feature individual entries and each participant is part of a company team. For many this increases the enjoyability of the event as it presents them with a form of healthy competition with corporate pride at stake. Some of Singapore’s largest companies have already indicated their interest to take part in the 2013 JPMCC, with some 16,000 entrants expected to take part.

JPMCC provides a tangible impact in the community with the JPMorgan Chase Foundation making a donation of more than USD$600,000 to local not-for-profit organizations. Perhaps one of the biggest draws for the event is the post-run networking session at the Padang, with runners given the opportunity to mingle once the race is over.

The winning teams will be determined by the combined times of top runners on a corporate team. A men’s team consists four men, women’s team consists four women, a mixed team two men and two women. Winners for men’s, women’s and mixed teams will qualify for the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Championship, to be held on 21 May 2013 in Rochester.

So hurry up and register your company. Registration for JPMCC 2013 starts from 17 January 2013, register your company here now.
