Where can I ice skate in Singapore?

When you say “Singapore”,  words like hot and sunny pop to mind. So where does ice skating fit into this? Skating enthusiasts who wish to get away from said heat can now escape into a world of fun and ice. There are three main places in Singapore to get lessons in ice skating or to indulge in a leisurely skating session.

Kallang Leisure Park

Kallang Ice World is constructed to match competition standards. Here, the ice surface has quality finishes that provides an unforgettable skating experience. Kallang Ice World is also an ideal venue for a various types of competitions because for its large seating area. Kallang Ice world conducts lessons  ranging from beginner’s training to classes for the more aspiring skater.

Leisure Park Kallang is located at 5 Stadium Walk, Singapore 397693. The Leisure Park is open from Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 pm and Fridays, Saturdays and Eves of Public Holidays from 10:00 am to midnight. Marina Bay Sands Skating Rink

Located at the heart of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, a 600-square meter skating rink uses an unrivalled synthetic surface. It is created from very high Molecular Weight Polyethylene, the skating surface has undergone both laboratory and on-the-rink testing to produce the closest skating experience to real ice. Its unique surface will make you feel like you are gliding across pure magic. Lessons are also conducted here at the Marina Bay Sands Skating Rink; they offer a range of classes.

The Rink @ JCube

The Rink, Singapore's first and only Olympic-size ice skating rink, offers an unparalleled experience on and off the ice. The Rink, like Leisure Park Kallang, uses real ice. Located on Level 3 in JCube, The Rink hosts events and activities such as recreational ice skating, and international tournaments in ice hockey, figure skating, speed skating, and ice curling. Spectators can also catch the action from the 460-seat gallery, and the surrounding rink-side dining restaurants – another first in Singapore.
