There was no love lost as the Singapore Slingers lost at home to the Kuala Lumpur Dragons by a score of 68-79 on Valentine's Day.

This game was the first leg of the Straits Cup, an annual home-away contest between the Causeway rivals.

In the second leg played yesterday in Kuala Lumpur, the Slingers mounted a comeback and won the game, edging the Dragons 88-87 but it was not enough to win the Straits Cup.

The Slingers are currently tied with Macau Black Bears and the Dragons in fifth place in the ABL with seven wins and seven losses.
