The launch of the club will give everyone, regardless of age or experience, more opportunities to play the sport.
In addition to organising
Social Play Sessions weekly, where members of the public can find likeminded enthusiasts, the club will also offer participants more flying disc-related activities and competitions they can partake in.
While Social Play sessions will be only held at Queenstown, Woodlands and Clementi stadiums at the beginning, the sessions will be offered at more locations subsequently, including Free-to-Play school facilities that are open to the public under the Dual-Use Scheme.
“Flying Disc is one of the sports that has little to no barriers to learn and play. It can be played at open spaces by anyone regardless of age or fitness level,” said Chief of ActiveSG Lai Chin Kwang.

“It brings families and friends together to have fun and allows people to make friends.”
“More importantly,
ActiveSG Flying Disc Club gives another opportunity for Singaporeans to play and stay active.”
The UPA (S) Mixed Nationals, which was graced by Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Grace Fu, saw over 500 players from 20 teams competing in the annual event.
The sport of Flying Disc, more commonly known as Frisbee, is one of the fastest growing sports in Singapore, with more than 4,000 active players now compared to only 1,000 two years ago.
However, most of the players are made up of teenagers and adults aged 17-28. Under-17 youths currently do not have much opportunity to play the sport as it isn’t a common co-curricular activity in schools.
As such, the club will make effort to reach out to youths under the age of 17 with its School Outreach Programme where it will offer Flying Disc Clinics for school students.
