Singapore National Waterski team member and current SEA Games’ Waterski Slalom Gold Medalist, Mark Leong, won his first Asian Waterski Slalom title at Yeonggwang County in Korea this past weekend.

Mark posted a score of 4.5 buoys on the 12 metres rope length to take the gold medal ahead of two Korean skiers Jeong Ji-min and Cho Beom-Geun. Mark, an 18-year old student at ACS Independent, was a bronze medal at last year’s Asian Championships held in Bangkok, Thailand. Although his score in the Men’s Final was off his personal best mark of 1 buoy on the 11 metre rope length, it was better than his SEA Games gold medal score of 3 buoys on the 12 metre rope length and more than enough to win his first Asian Men’s Slalom Title.
