Armed with a notepad for "old-school" note-taking, Gary Yang started his career as a suit cum copywriter at an advertising agency, followed by a successful stint in Corporate Communications with Singapore Press Holdings and Asia Pacific Breweries, before eventually joining the digital team at Sport Singapore. He now turns his attention to sporting headlines while sniffing out inspirational stories in the health and fitness arena.

John Yeong

myActiveSG Social Media Lead, Producer & Presenter

Often mistaken as a bad boy, John Yeong is really more of a softie at heart. His 6 years spent overseas has helped him to seamlessly toggle between local coffee shop talk and an 'ang moh' accent without skipping a heartbeat, making him a versatile potato. John's stint as a footballer over the years spans competitions like the Canadian National Soccer League and Singapore's National Football League. This multi-talented jock is also the defacto host and emcee for SportSG events. In his free time, he loves to eat anything filled with red beans.

Alex Tsui

myActiveSG Social Media Executive, Assistant Producer & Presenter

An enthusiast for all things fun and a self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie, Alex Tsui is always down to try anything at least once. A relative “newbie” to the Singapore sports scene, he aims to combine his interests in sports and content creation to create entertaining and insightful content for the masses. When he's not coming up with a new idea for content, Alex is either cheering for the red side of Merseyside, playing Ultimate Frisbee or thinking about food.
