Not just for Novice - Race Walking (Workshop)

Race walking is not funny but fun, and is the “hip" way to move. It utilises every inch of the anatomy and biomechanics to achieve efficiency and speed. It might be the next big thing in sports when all the running and inevitable injuries take their toll. Race walking can also be a good cross training exercise for runners to reduce chances of injuries yet provide the same benefits.Join us for a sharing session and demonstration by master race walker, Dr Leong Lee San, a retired medical practitioner and former Chairman of the Singapore Athletics Race Walking Committee.

The talk will be covering training and nutrition techniques leading up to race day, as well as the post-race essentials and recovery practices after crossing the finish line.
